Mashable: Hollywood actor Ryan Reynolds has been named as the newest Chief Island Officer of Yas Island, Abu Dhabi, one of the most popular tourist attractions in the world.

On Monday, April 29, 2024, the family-friendly entertainment hub revealed the Deadpool star as its newest Chief Island Officer (CIO). He will be taking the mantle from former Hollywood actors Kevin Hart and Jason Mamoa.

The announcement comes after a week-long suspense after a trailer video showing a mystery skydiver jumping off a plane in a parachute was released.

The video which was released today, shows the multi-talented Hollywood star Ryan Reynolds making a grand entrance, descending from the sky. The Canadian-American actor and film producer parachutes into the heart of Yas Island, the Yas Marina Circuit with speeding cars surrounding him.

“I’m so excited,” Ryan Reynolds says as he introduces himself as an actor, producer, and owner of the Welsh Football Club. However, half of his conversation is inaudible due to the sound of speeding race cars around the circuit.

The 47-year-old actor is also seen enjoying a thrilling ride of Ferrari World Yas Island, Abu Dhabi, as well as exploring Gotham City at Warner Bros World Yas Island.

Former CIO’s, Kevin Hart and Jason Momoa made sure their entrance was grand. The former announced his arrival in a Ferrari, whereas the latter paddled his way into the island.
