Diario CÓRDOBA has consolidated itself as the third provincial newspaper of Andalusia and the dean of the Cordovan press after starting its journey on July 25, 1941. During all this time it has maintained its vocation of service to society with the efforts of the different generations of journalists who went through its two venues (the old one in the Plaza del Cardenal Toledo and the current one in the Torrecilla Polygon). Today, the newspaper has been able to adapt to the great changes that have occurred in the media, adapting to the demands of its readers as a reason for its evolution. CÓRDOBA is a head of Grupo Zeta, which became shareholder of the newspaper in 1997. Gone are those difficult beginnings in the postwar period when in the summer of 1941 began the trajectory of a new newspaper that was the heir of Azul and before La Voz, and was part of the Press of the National Movement. From its first director, José Escalera del Real, to the current one, Francisco Luis Córdoba, the newspaper approached the information to all the municipalities of the province to transfer the news that were weaving the history, society, culture and economy of Córdoba . For the history of Spain and CÓRDOBA have passed a dictator, two kings of Spain, six presidents of the Government and seven presidents of the Junta de Andalucía, but also 16 presidents of the Diputación and 17 mayors of Cordoba.
